West Coast sports roundup, Week 50: Marcus Mariota wins Heisman, Kobe Bryant passes Michael Jordan

The first two weeks of December are now complete, and the world of sports continues on.

In the NFL, the playoff picture is beginning to become more clear with just two weeks of the regular. In the MLB, the Winter meetings were once again quite busy with teams wheeling and dealing to make their rosters better for the upcoming season. In the NBA, the two conferences are beginning to take shape as the season is reaching the two-month mark. Finally in college football, the Heisman Award has been given to Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Here is what happened in sports the past week across the West Coast and around the nation.
