The Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday elected to pass on signing veteran guard Nate Robinson for the remainder of the season by instead adding another guard in Lester Hudson on a 10-day contract.

Hudson was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 58th pick in the 2009 NBA draft, and played a total of three seasons in the league. During that time he bounced around the NBA with several teams such as the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Washington Wizards.  In 52 games played, he is averaging 4.8 points, and 1.3 assists in 10.3 minutes.

The 30-year-old has most recently played in the Chinese Basketball association as a member of the Lianoning, where he was a two-time league MVP (2014, 2015) and three-time All-Star (2012, 2014, 2015).  He averaged 31.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 50 games played.

Los Angeles still has the option to bring back Robinson for the remainder of the season, but is choosing to see how he progresses from a bone bruise to his left knee that he suffered last Sunday and forced him to miss two games. Robinson in nine games with the team has averaged 5.1 points and 2.2 assists in 14.0 minutes per game.

The Clippers’ roster currently sits at the league max of 15 players under contract.
