Seahawks crush 49ers, 20-3, on Thursday Night Football

The Seattle Seahawks sacked Colin Kaepernick six times and held the signal-caller to just 124 yards through the air in a 20-3 rout of the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night at Levi’s Stadium.

Seattle dominated every phase of the game, holding Kaepernick to zero rushing yards.

Marshawn Lynch rushed for 122 yards and added a touchdown to pace the Seahawks, who move to 3-4 on the season. Seattle managed 176 yards on the ground to wear down the Niners’ front seven and dominate the time of possession battle by a margin of 38:05 to 21:55.

On the other side, Carlos Hyde and Reggie Bush combined for just 61 rushing yards. Their ineptitude on the ground made life difficult for Kaepernick, who was bothered all night by the Legion of Boom.

Seattle got a breakout game from rookie Tyler Lockett, who caught his first NFL touchdown reception on a 43-yard deep ball from Russell Wilson

The Niners drop to 2-5 with the loss and have an uphill battle when it comes to gaining footing in the NFC West.
