Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young left Tuesday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, with a right Achilles tendon strain. The injury was sustained during the first quarter when Young was trying to contest a fast break layup by Pelicans guard Tim Frazier. According to the Lakers, Young is set to have an MRI in Chicago on Wednesday, ahead of their matchup with the Chicago Bulls.

**Update** Young will be sidelined for 2-4 weeks with a strained calf.

Los Angeles Clippers
Meanwhile in Brooklyn… Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers was ejected from Tuesday’s matchup against the Nets. Rivers was unhappy with a foul call on guard Chris Paul and approached the official to show his displeasure. His aggressive gesture earned him a technical foul, led to more frustration and ultimately to his departure from the game.

The Clippers went on to lose that game 127-122 in double-overtime and that marks their third-consecutive road loss of the season.

Portland Trail Blazers
**Update** on forward Al-Farouq Aminu. According to Mike Richman of the Oregonian, Aminu will be inactive against the Indiana Pacers for Wednesday’s home game. On the bright side reports have said that Aminu has made substantial progress and is nearing his return back to the court.
