The Los Angeles Rams have reached a one-year deal with free agent defensive tackle Dominique Easley, according to reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The former 29th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft signed Tuesday after working out for the Rams. Easley’s tenure with the New England Patriots ended about a month ago with reports that he was a locker room cancer and injury-prone. Easley saw limited action his rookie year due to lingering concerns over his torn ACL that took place his junior year at the University of Florida.

He emerged as the pass rushing defensive tackle the Patriots hoped he would be with 15 total tackles and two sacks. Easley has three career sacks and an interception in two years with the Patriots.

Easley makes five first round picks on a defensive line that includes recent signee and former New York Jet Quinton Coples, lesser known defensive tackle Michael Brockers, former All-Pro defensive end Robert Quinn and recently crowned All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
