Browns have hired Hue Jackson; could potentially target Colin Kaepernick?

The Cleveland Browns have hired Hue Jackson as their new head coach on Wednesday, January 13. The former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator will get his second shot as a head coach after an unsuccessful stint with the Oakland Raiders in 2011. According to Matt Barrows of the Sacrament Bee, Jackson will have full control over personnel but will not have control over the 53-man roster.

When hiring Jackson the Browns executives have said that he does not have to commit to Johnny Manziel, whose off-field shenanigans have reflected poorly on the organization.

Having said that, Jackson could be bringing in a new quarterback this offseason to lead his offense. A name that surfaced was San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who was benched during the season.

Jackson, was fond of him coming out of college so there is potential that Kaepernick could get a fresh start in Cleveland.
