No charges have been filed and McDonald has not been arrested as of yet.
The investigation follows McDonald’s arrest on August 31 on charges of domestic abuse. After a lengthy investigation and much public play in the media, no charges were ever filed and the case was closed.
McDonald is in his eighth NFL season, all with the 49ers. Through 14 games this season, he has three sacks and 26 tackles for the 7-7 49ers.
