Since making his decision to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, there was been plenty of buzz around LeBron James‘ first return back to Quicken Loans Arena as an opposing player.

This saw the Cleveland Cavaliers play a special tribute video to James early in the first quarter of Wednesday’s game in recognition of his contribution that he has made to the franchise and community both on and off the cour

James has spent 11 years of his career with the Cavaliers where he experienced much success with the franchise where he took them to great heights with five trips to the NBA Finals including winning their first NBA title. This broke a 52-year championship drought for professional sports teams in Cleveland. The 33-year-old also holds various team records such as most points scored (23,119), assists (6,228), made field goals (8,369), 3-pointers made (1,251), steals (1,376), rebound (6,190), and games played (849).

He has also made a huge impact not only on the court but also in the community that he has continued to do so even after departing this past offseason to the Lakers. During his introduction as a member of the Lakers prior to the start of the game, he received a loud ovation and that continued when he first touched the ball on Los Angeles’ first possession of the contest.

James has made a huge impact on the franchise that far extends the court as he has made a huge impact that hadn’t been there before. This is what largely made his second return to the team that much more appreciated and welcome given what he means to not only the team but also the community and neighboring cities. James is now in the midst of the next chapter of his career with the Lakers where he’s hoping to make a huge impact and add to its already illustrious history.
