In his first 15 years in the NBA, LeBron James has established himself as arguably the best player in the league that has been a strong attribute to his strong work ethic.
This is something that one of his new teammate in Kyle Kuzma that he has quickly noticed about the 33-year-old since he joined the Los Angeles Lakers this summer
“I think it’s going to impact a lot. He is the ultimate professional. He’s a guy that is one of the first guys in the league and the last ones to leave. Usually, I say that I am the first guy but he bit me to the gym a couple guys already.”
It has been one of his strong characteristics that helped James put together the type of career he has heading into his 16th campaign. He has been an all-around talent that has shown the ability to impact the game in a huge way with his play as both a playmaker and scorer that very few before him have been able to.
What has also been remarkable is that he has been able to keep that up even as he has entered the latter half of his career. He is coming off yet another highly productive campaign that put firmly in the MVP conversation 27.5 points on 54.2 percent shooting from the field along with a career-best 9.1 assists and 8.6 rebounds per contest. This saw him finish third in the league in scoring and second in assists.
This is something that could quickly rub off on his teammates in a largely positive manner with it pushing them to work harder as Kuzma may be one of the primary beneficiaries of that. He appears to be more driven to match or even surpass the dedication to his craft that James has put on display since joining the Lakers. Nonetheless, it looks like he is already off on the right foot making a strong impression on his teammates while setting the tone for what’s expected on the court.
