Lakers news: Terrell Owens praises Kobe Bryant during Hall of Fame speech

Owens has singled out Bryant as being a source of motivation toward helping him put together a Hall of Fame career.

Throughout his illustrious 20-year NBA career, former Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant earned a strong reputation for his relentless work ethic that helped him reach great heights. 

This has also received much admiration from top players from other supports that have provided them with additional motivation to push themselves to work that much harder at their own craft. During his Hall of Fame induction speech on Saturday, former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens singled out Bryant for helping set the standard for his work ethic. 

Owens put together an impressive NFL career that saw him establish himself as one of the most productive and dominant players at his position. He currently ranks second all-time with 15,934 receiving yards and his 153 receiving touchdowns rank third. He also earned six Pro Bowl selections, five First-Team All-Pro nods, and led the league in receiving touchdowns three times while playing for the Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills.

The fact that he chose to acknowledge Bryant speaks to the huge amount of respect he has toward him for what he brought to the table with his dedication to his craft. The 39-year-old’s work ethic helped push him to become one of the greatest players to play the game while earning much respect and admiration from his peers and many players that have come after him. This largely lies with the type of mindset that he had toward his passion with eyes toward getting the best out of his himself. 

This is a unique honor that Owens has received that has cemented his legacy of being one of the best to ever play the game at his position. It is a select group of players, coaches, and front office personnel that have earned that prestigious honor that he is joining for the lifetime achievement.
