After a strong 4-0 start to the season that included a huge road win against Portland, the Los Angeles Clippers put together a disappointing performance at home in a 95-87 loss against Detroit. The Clippers now get set to host the defending champion Golden State Warriors and will look to shoot much better than 33 percent from the field like they did against the Pistons.

Let’s take a look a couple things they’ll need to focus on to keep Monday night’s game competitive.
Turnovers
The Clippers have been pretty good this season in terms of taking care of the ball. They’re No. 6 in the league in turnovers per possession and No. 4 in turnovers per game. Saturday night, however, was anomaly.
The Clippers finished the night with 19 turnovers, giving up 22 points off those mistakes.
Not that it’s necessarily very indicative of anything substantial given the small sample size, but the Warriors are No. 28 in the league in turnovers per game.
Defending the three-point line
We all know the Warriors are known for their ball movement and outside shooting. The Clippers ended up allowing the Pistons to connect on five-of-eight three-pointers in the fourth quarter.
It’s understandable if a Steph Curry, Kevin Durant or Klay Thompson beat you with their shot; not acceptable if it’s a combination of Langston Galloway, Stanley Johnson and Anthony Tolliver.
The Clippers — on the season — have been above average at getting out to shooters, giving up just 8 made three-pointers per game, good for No. 6 in the league.
