Jahleel Addae signs RFA tender

Jahleel Addae will be playing in San Diego in 2016. On Thursday it was announced that the four year man out of Central Michigan will return to the team after signing his restricted free agent tender. Originally joining the team as an unrestricted free agent in 2011, Addae began his career with the Chargers primarily as a backup, only starting seven games in two years. That all changed this past season though as Addae started twelve games, recording 65 tackles, four passes defensed, and one sack.

With former teammate Eric Weddle now in Baltimore, Addae will be joined by former Indianapolis Colt Dwight Lowery, who was signed to a three year deal earlier in free agency. The secondary is also joined by Casey Hayward, who joins Jason Verrett and Brandon Flowers to form a new look secondary that the Chargers will be leaning on to help improve  a pass defense that was a middle of the pack unit in 2015.

the Chargers have made a clear decision that the defense must get better, and though the signings look nice now, fans will have to wait until September to see if they pan out.
