What seemed to be a promising season, the Sacramento Kings have had an awful start. They are 2-7 through nine games and the front office are looking to shake things up. According to, Sam Amick of USA Today Sports, Sacramento Kings head coach George Karl is on the hot seat.
Coach Karl was brought in nine months ago to turn around a supremely talented but underachieving Kings team. He signed a $15 million dollar contract to be the coach through 2018 and is also guaranteed $11.5 million. Since taking over, Karl is 12-26 and their seems to be a rift between him and superstar center DeMarcus Cousins.
It was reported that Cousins cursed out Karl in front of the team following a horrid 106-88 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
As it stands now, the brass seems to be siding with the players and do not seem to see Karl as their long-term solution as head coach of the Kings.
Unless, Karl can patch things up with Cousins and turn this team around, it seems Karl’s future with the Kings is hazy moving forward.
