Lloyd McClendon went ballistic during the Seattle Mariners’ 5-3 loss to the New York Yankees on Tuesday. When M’s catcher Mike Zunino took issue with the home plate umpire’s call on a pitch that gave Alex Rodriguez a free pass, McClendon backed him up.
The rest was glorious.
This isn’t McClendon’s first rodeo when it comes to being ejected from games. He’s been tossed 31 times, 26 of which came as a manager. His most infamous incident came when he was manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates and he literally stole first base after a tirade.
Don’t ever change, Lloyd.
