Dallas Mavericks PA announcer suspended

The NBA has announced that Dallas Mavericks public-address man Sean Heath will be suspended two games for criticizing officials through his twitter account.

The tweets came after the Mavs overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors 122-120 on April 1. The play that initiated Heath’s outbursts was when Jermaine O’Neal blocked a Monta Ellis shot with 16 seconds remaining and the score tied at 120. The NBA office acknowledged the following day that a goaltend should have been called.

Heath will begin serving his suspension April 12, when the Mavs host the Phoenix Suns in a battle for the last two playoff spots in the west.
