Stanford CB Terrence Brown headed for NFL

Stanford cornerback Terrence Brown has decided to forego his final year of eligibility to enter the NFL draft according to the Associated Press and Yahoo! Sports.

Brown is a senior at Stanford, but he is technically a red-shirt Junior. He had 65 tackles and one interception while starting all 14 games this season.  He plans to graduate in June with a degree in Science, Technology and Society.

In a statement released by the school, Brown thanked head coach David Shaw and defensive coordinator Derek Mason for the opportunity to play football at Stanford.

“The past four years have been a great experience for me at Stanford,” Brown said.  ”And I feel well-prepared to move on to the next level.”

On Monday, Cardinal tight ends Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo decided to declare for the NFL draft and forego their last remaining  year of eligibility.
